A Dad's Gift

Good Morning Followers, Viewers and Friends,
It is a good day to have a good day.  You realize that by the end of this week we will grant dad's, fathers,  and men who filled the gap a celebration called Father's Day.  This week, leading up to the celebration, is all about men's health. National Men’s Health Week, celebrated annually in conjunction with Father’s Day, is intended to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men.   Today, I want to talk to you about what your dad can do for you or a dad's gift.  Not the one you're planning for him but the one he should be planning for you.  To start, every dad should think carefully about their general health.  You are someone's anchor and to be around when we go through storms we need you to be strong in many of the health areas.  For instance go get that check-up that you have been putting off for some time now.  You need several things checked and monitored as your gift to me: blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, test for prostrate and colorectal cancer as well as  abdominal aortic aneurysm test. We also want you to give more time with your kid(s).  Make it a daily gift for both you and your children.  It's the best way to build loving and meaningful relationships.  Be with them, not just for them as a provider and protector but most importantly be there to listen and talk to them.  It's what they want and need from you.
Cards to share today:
Hard Working Good Looking Dad
Supplies: green and white cardstock pattern paper from Colorbok; stickers from Jolee

You Are My Anchor in life's storms
Supplies: beige cardstock; pattern paper from DCWV ; vellum; Pebbles pearlescent  chalks

You can do me a favor and yourself if you would take this post and share it with as many men as you possible can today and during this week.  We need our dad's around just a little while longer.  Most don't like going to the doctor and most don't like the test that are given.  If health issues can be prevented then,  let's get them to give us a gift of a few more years.   This Father’s Day, celebrate the men you love by encouraging them to be proactive about their health.
Sending a hug and LOVE,
Lois

More great male cards, like those stickers and color combos. I always struggle with male themed projects!
